“Non-Touring” Is the New Trend That Will Make You Look Like A Supermodel

Want to look like a supermodel? “Non-Touring” is a newest trend that will help you look like a supermodel. Read the article below to know how!

When temperatures and humidity start to rise, we update our make-up bags, trading in our rich foundations and powder blushes for more lightweight, dewier formulas. Our complexions might have felt oppressed by heavy contouring makeup in years past, but not this Summer. We’re skipping that step entirely in favour of the new low-maintenance beauty trend: non-touring.

Similar to the “baby face” trend, non-touring spotlights fresh, healthy skin and lightly strobed features. Celebrity makeup artist Renee Sanganoo told Marie Claire that models Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner are key examples of stars who have mastered this look.

“It’s kind of like Spanx for the skin,” she explained. “You know you’re wearing it, but no one’s supposed to see it.”

Not only will your face feel like it can breathe when you try non-touring, you’ll also be delighted by how simple the technique is. It consists of only three steps that even a makeup amateur can grasp.

After applying a luminous primer like Guerlain Météorites Base, even out your complexion with a tinted moisturiser. Then complete your look by adding a highlighter like Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder in Incandescent to the high points of your face, like your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, and your cupid’s bow.

The best part? Because of the priming step, this trend is practically sweatproof, too, making it ideal to wear well into the steamiest days of Summer.

Metallic Lips Are Going To Be *EVERYWHERE* This Summer

Since Kylie Jenner dropped her metallic lip kits we’ve been seeing reflective pouts crop up all over our insta-feeds. Yep, the youngest from the Kardashian clan seems to be on a mission to revive some of the 90s long-lost beauty trends, from brick-brown lip colours to grungy eyeliner, and now, frosted, shimmery pouts.

Unlike the ever-so glossy metallic lips of the 90s, 2016 has seen formulas reinvented with a matte finish.

Beauty brands like Too Faced, MUA, Jeffree Star and of course, Kylie Cosmetics, are creating metallic liquid lipsticks that give a super-sheen, but, dry down matte, making them a *tad* easier to pull off than the super-slick, glossy versions. They’re still a LONG way from lip balm territory though, so steer clear if you’re easily spooked by bold makeup.

Instgram and pinterest have been slowing feeding our desire to try out the trend, with more and more make-up artists uploading snaps of their drool-worthy pouts.

and with Kylie Jenner rocking the look at Coachella just a few weeks ago, it’s safe to say, come festival season we’re going to be seeing high-shine lips everywhere.

So how in the hell do we pull off heavy metal lips?

As with any liquid lipstick, the key is to make sure you pout is in the best condition possible. Start by buffing away any dry patches with a lips scrub. Then, load up on an ultra-nourishing balm like the Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm, to soften. When it comes to applying your liquid lipstick use a precision lip brush to help avoid a wonky lip line, and finally, trace the edges with a touch of concealer for a flawless finish, et voila!

Top Tips For Luscious Lips

Whether your lips are full or thin, find out how to make that luscious lips! Check the article below to discover all the best tips!

There is a fashion currently for big pouty bee-stung lips. Think Scarlett Johannson and Angelina Jolie who both have very full and luscious-looking mouths.

While the size of your lips is genetically determined, the thinning that occurs with age is often influenced by factors like cold weather, hot showers and lip licking – anything that dries them out. Sun damage can also have an effect and, as lips don’t have oil glands, it’s easy to see how important it is to nourish them and protect them at all times from the elements.

Protecting your lips

I like to use lip balms for protection. Burt’s Bees has a selection of lip balms (approx £3.99) with various ‘flavours’ from Coconut and Pear to Mango Butter, all containing a wide variety of natural ingredients designed to help hydrate and nourish your lips. They also sell a ‘rescue’ balm which is brilliant if lips become chapped during cold weather or sunburn.

Lip maintenance

I like to include my lips in my regular routines of skin care. In other words I gently exfoliate them to remove any dead skin and ensure that they are included when I apply my daily serum and moisturiser. When I apply my make-up I always take a cotton bud and having wet my lips, I rub away any foundation which has accumulated so that I am applying my Lip Prime to clean smooth lips.

How to stop your lipstick bleeding

One of the most distressing aspects of my ageing face has been the tendency of my lipstick to ‘feather’ and ‘bleed’ into the tiny wrinkles around my mouth. I have never smoked, but if you have (or are still) a smoker then this is likely to be a challenge.

Fortunately there is any easy solution. As part of the LFF range, I insisted on having an effective Lip Prime to ensure that my lip colour stays put. Apply it once a day around the outer part of the mouth – and massage it into the edges of the lips. Allow to dry before applying your lipstick.

How to apply lipstick

Forget overdrawn lip liner – it’s too obvious. The goal is to maximise what you’ve got, so apply the first coat of your lipstick with a brush in order to get into every corner and edge. Another good tip is to press on the area above the lip with your finger so that you create the fullest lip area possible.

How to make your lipstick last

Look Fabulous Forever Lip Colours are well pigmented with colour and a made in a texture to help them to last. However there are a couple of tricks you can use to help the colour to stay put for longer. Apply a thinnish coat with a brush. Use a finger to rub the colour into the lips, creating a lip stain. Next apply a second coat with a brush and blot with a tissue. Final coat can be with or without a brush and for the rest of the day you can ‘touch up’ from the directly onto the lips without a brush.

How to make your lips look fuller

A dab of gloss (Look Fabulous Forever Lip Shine) just in the centre of the lower lip grabs the light, making the fat pad appear fuller. Finish by tracing a bit of Look Fabulous Forever Light highlighter just above the lip line and at the Cupid’s bow. This creates a 3D effect and gives the illusion of more pronounced lips.

How to choose the right lipstick colour

You’ll never make a bad lipstick purchase again if you know whether you are cool or warm toned.

Cool toned women look best in pretty soft pinks, plummy, berry shades and bright pinks and dark bluey reds for drama.

Warm toned women should go for soft caramel colours, coral pinks and orange-y reds for special occasions. See Choosing Colours on the LFF website.

Instagram account LiveGlam last week uploaded a short video tutorial on how to contour your feet, making them slimmer and supposedly more appealing.

‘Step up your contour game with this fancy footwork’ the caption on the video read.

The video has been liked more than 7,000 times and generated more than 11,000 comments, most of them negative.

The tutorial shows a step by step of how to create the look, starting with foundation applied all over the feet to even out colour.

Next a brown cream contour colour is applied along the sides of the feet and on each toe. The contour is designed to create the illusion of a shadow, making the feet seem slimmer.

The contour is then blended in, and a highlight applied to the tops of the feet.

The video then shows the feet before and after, with barely a noticeable difference between the two.

The question remains if foot contouring is worth the time and effort required, and who on earth is looking at feet so closely that they would even notice?

Well pass on contouring our feet for the time being and still to strictly Kim K inspired face sculpting.

This Makeup Trick For People With Glasses Is Absolute Genius

As part of a Reddit thread about makeup tricks for glasses wearers. Read more below and discover all makeup tricks that you can do!

Anyone who wears glasses will know the endless struggle.

Your glasses slip down your nose. You push them back up. They slip down again. It happens when you’re reading, sitting, texting. ALL the damn time, basically.

But it turns out that there’s a trick to fix this life-ruining problem. And it’s been right under our nose (ha) the whole time.

As part of a Reddit thread about makeup tips for glasses wearers, a few genius members of the makeup addiction group shared a truly brilliant tip for keeping your glasses on your nose: eyeshadow primer.

All you need is eyeshadow primer. (Picture: Getty)
All you need is eyeshadow primer. (Picture: Getty)

See, eyelid primer makes your skin less slippery, and lets things – like foundation, sure, but also glasses – cling to the skin.

So these smart Redditors dab a spot of eyeshadow primer on the bridge of their nose where their glasses sit.

This not only prevents your glasses from budging, but it also means your frames won’t rub off your foundation. So you’re winning on two counts.

Matte powder or makeup setting spray works, too. (Picture: Getty)

If eyeshadow primer isn’t working for you, apparently matte powder or makeup setting spray does the trick just as well.

Sophie Hannah Richardson: How To Achieve The Glitter Underbrow Look

British beauty blogger Sophie Hannah Richardson shares her step-by-step tutorial on achieving the glitter underbrow. Check the full article below!

Glitter UNDERbrow is more pretty and wearable, rather than punky, and makes the high point of your face – just below the brow – stand out more.

Sophie says:

Gigi Hadid stole the limelight on the runway of Giambattista Valli sporting bold glitter underbrows recently.

Glitter makeup has been a recent beauty craze that has stormed social media in recent weeks – and this is the latest trend to come out of it.

It’s one of my favourites and it’s so wearable.

A glitter underbrow is really easy to apply and remove compared to the full glitter brow look, as that’s a nightmare to get off your brow hairs.

This is definitely a look that everyone needs to try out, especially for festival season which is just around the corner.

5 Ways To Help Your Makeup Last All Day

One main complaints we have about makeup is that we can’t get it to stay on our faces. Here are 5 ways to help your makeup last all day. Check it now!

We spend all day talking (usually more that we should), eating (need I repeat?) and rubbing our tired eyes, so we definitely put our war paint through its paces.

Here are 5 ways to help your makeup last all day and stay put, where you want it.

Use the right primer

If you’ve been putting your makeup on without a primer and moaning about its staying power, you only have yourself to blame.

Primers perfect your skin to make a good base for foundation and concealer to cling to.

Introduce one into your regime and you’ll definitely see a difference.

Choose one that’s right for your skin type however – there’s no point in using a mattifying primer if you have dry skin as you would be more suited to a hydrating one.

You need a powder

Make sure that you set your foundation and concealer with a light dusting of translucent powder.

Use it sparingly and it won’t change the finish of your foundation, but it will help it to remain in place.

Make sure you tackle your t-zone and under your eyes as these are the areas where we get oily and sweat, which breaks down our makeup and makes it slide off.

The Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder is amazing.

Try a setting spray

A photo posted by Nicole💋 (@makeupbynico_) on

There are the good, the bad and the ugly when it comes to setting sprays, but a good one can add hours to the life span of your perfectly painted face.

Once you’ve finished putting on your makeup, spray some liberally over your skin and allow it to dry naturally.

Urban Decay’s All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray is a great choice, as is the more budget NYX Dewy Finish Long-Lasting Setting Spray.

Use a waterproof mascara

If you can’t stop yourself rubbing your eyes when you’re tired, waterproof mascara is your friend.

Try the Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real Mascara and They’re Real Liner.

This stuff won’t budge, not even in a rainstorm.

Layer it on

Applying all of your makeup in multiple thin layers instead of slapping it on thick will help it last longer.

Build up the opaqueness of your foundation, eyeshadow and lipstick in light layers until you get the look you want.

Jennifer Aniston Reveals Best Anti-Ageing Beauty And Fitness Secrets

Jennifer Aniston was recently voted the most beautiful woman in the world for the second time, so here are Jennifer Aniston’s best-kept beauty tips.

She’s barely aged since she shot to fame on our TV screens playing Rachel Green in much-loved sitcom Friends.

Although she’s been in the limelight for over a decade, Jennifer still has one of the most enviable figures in Hollywood.

The 47-year-old actress spilled her top beauty hacks to People magazine after the publication voted her world’s hottest woman in 2016.

The stunning star keeps her hourglass figure in check with a gruelling exercise regime.

Jennifer works out for about an hour six days a week, switching up her routine with three spin-yoga classes, three days of weight training and bouts of cardio at home.

Speaking about how she stays motivated, Jennifer said: “Just to do it. Bite the bullet. Just bite the bullet and do it.

“Think of a wonderful pasta or Mexican meal that you want to have on the weekend and dangle that in front of you like a little carrot.”

Jennifer kick-starts her day with a detoxing cup of hot water and lemon because “it’s great to put that alkaline into your body first thing in the morning.”

After that the American beauty will guzzle down a coffee and opt for a protein shake for breakfast.

She said: “I’ll put in bananas, cherries, blackberries, a greens powder, a collagen peptide, a little cacao powder, chocolate stevia drop and chocolate almond milk.

“You can see I like chocolate-flavoured. I don’t like protein taste.”

When she starts feeling peckish, Jennifer snacks on a hard-boiled egg a few hours after her shake and then opts for a lean lunch of seared tuna steak with a cucumber and lentil salad.

If she needs another mini meal before dinner she’ll grab a cheese stick or a cup of soup and then dine on roast chicken with spiralised courgette in the evening.
